Arctic Space Week 2025 wrapped up successfully!
Arctic Space Week was hosted in Bodø, Norther Norway by Norwegian Space Cluster in cooperation with Innovation Norway, Nordland County and ESA BIC Norway on September 10th to 12th in 2025. This is the second year this event was hosted.
The week comprised three separate events that all covered the growing space industry in Europe and the increasing strategic importance of this industry.
The week started on Tuesday the 10th with an exclusive one-day site visit to the Andøya Space Port orbital launch site that is situated at Andøya about 45 minutes flight from Bodø. The trip included the return flights from/to Bodø as well as a mini seminar about the activities at the island in general and at the orbital launch site in particular. Finally the visit included a guided tour of the launch site itself.
The visit was hosted by the German launch provider ISAR Aerospace who are currently planning several orbital launches from Andøya, Andøya Space and Newspace North a local company working on expanding the space industry on the Island of Andøya.
Back in Bodø the week continued on September the 11th with an international seminar on the topic: «Sovereign Space Capabilities for Security and Defence».
The full day seminar featured speakers from the Norwegian armed forces, the department of defence, international technology- and service providers like Space Norway, Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace, Kongsberg Satellite Services, ISAR Aerospace, Hensholdt and OHB Systems.
The day was rounded of with a networking dinner for 120 people at the Norwegian Aviation museum with good food and interesting key not talks and a panel discussion on the role of innovation in the space race.
Arctic Space Week 2025 was finalized on Friday the 12th with the Tech Tour Space investor event, where 23 startups from across Europe were invited to pitch to a crowd of about 60 investors and industry experts, again, from all across Europe.
