Norwegian Space Cluster togehter with NTNU invite business, universities and other R&D institutions to collaborate on strengthening the research infrastructure within the space sector in Norway. The invitation is made in light of the Research Council of Norway's announcement of funds for research infrastructure of national importance.
The organizers are concerned that research infrastructure within the space sector receives a status within research funding that reflects the sector's importance to society, including civil security and emergency preparedness, and national capabilities within strategic areas.
Over time, NTNU has invested in infrastructure that includes, among other things, the two satellites Hypso-1 and Hypso-2, which are used for research within the use of hyperspectral images for advanced Earth observation, and wants to develop this infrastructure further.
We therefore invite broadly in order to realize a broad boost for this type of research infrastructure.
