Andøya Space, in collaboration with Norwegian Space Cluster, offers a one-day course that provides participants with an introduction to the space sector, with a focus on its growing importance for Norway’s future societal and industrial development.
This course is especially tailored for those of you who have little or no insight into the space sector and who want to learn more about what characterizes an increasingly important sector for Norway and Northern Norway. The space sector will need to recruit many new employees with various types of expertise in the future.
Among other things, you will learn more about / gain:
the basics of the global space value chain
the structure of the space sector and Norway’s strategic position
a basic understanding of rockets, satellites, satellite orbits, launch sites, and space missions
knowledge of the use of terminology within space activities
what is meant by “NewSpace” from a societal and economic perspective
how to recognize the role of satellites in work related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the importance of this
the need for types of expertise other than purely technological skills
