Space Apps for Earth Impact: Building Arctic Solutions from Orbit
Norwegian Space Cluster with partners invites students, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs to join us for a 3 day hackathon focused on developing digital solutions that use satellite data to solve real-world challenges in the Arctic.
Develop applications that use space-based data to improve life and industry in remote, pristine and climate-impacted areas.
Experience Norway's spaceport
Andøya Space is a commercial spaceport and center for space-related activities located on the island of Andøya in northern Norway.
Through this hackathon, we aim to spark interest in moving north, working with space data, and with Andøya Spaceport as backdrop, contribute to the growth of a sustainable space-based ecosystem in the Arctic.
Design and prototype an innovative software application or digital tool that:
Uses data from satellites (e.g. images, weather, positioning, communications)
Show how the Arctic region could benefit from or help deliver your solution
Include a basic business plan or idea for how the product could be used or sold
