At this years Space Dinner hosted by NIFRO, the Norwegian Space Cluster had the chance to present the cluster and point out that the goal is to gather all players in the space sector to promote and grow Norway as a space nation

The event featured Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie Myrseth on sustainability, ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher on Europe’s space future, and Norwegian Space Agency Director General Christian Hauglie-Hanssen on Norway’s role. A panel discussion explored Norway’s potential in Arctic space infrastructure.
Innovation and Growth
Industry experts presented on Norway’s Arctic advantage, Andøya Spaceport’s expansion, and startups such as Spectrum Blue and Nåva Space. These discussions emphasized Norway’s role in space-based Arctic infrastructure.
Geopolitics and Defense
Kongsberg Group’s Even Aas discussed geopolitical trends, and Arild Saga from the Armed Forces outlined the Defense Development Plan 2036. Astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen inspired with her journey as Norway’s first astronaut and a SpaceX spacecraft commander.
Political Vision
A political panel explored future space policies, emphasizing a national Earth observation center in Tromsø and a space innovation hub on Andøya. The event concluded with the Andøya Satellite Summit 2025 announcement and the NIFRO Prize award.
